End of the Year Press Release

David Larson, 26, sits at his desk, peering through his glasses as he takes care of the tedious accounting his brother Brad Larson, 29, so fervently avoids. Their aunt Wanda sits at the reception desk answering calls for the office– which takes up a whole 340 square feet—and, as she so poignantly puts it, “entering data”. To enter numbers into a system with heartfelt sincerity is a bit of a contradiction, but then again this whole office is a standing contradiction.

This is the office of up-and-coming real estate school Larson Educational Services at Royal Palm Square in Fort Myers. Larson Ed offers real estate classes, mortgage broker classes, community association manager classes, and continuing education in Naples, Port Charlotte, and Fort Myers. Don’t tell them they’re an up-and-comer or that the Southwest Florida market is one of the most struggling home markets in the country. Since opening in November of 2008 with a 10 student Sales Associate Licensing class, they have seen more than 1100 students in their classrooms.

How have they done it? The Larsons–led by manager and father Rick, 59, who has 30 years of experience with a similar school he founded in Minnesota–chalk it up to their superior customer service, their state of the art classrooms, interactive instruction, and their family feel. While students at other schools complain of instructors reading out of a textbook, Larson Educational features instruction that students have coined “outstanding”, “fabulous”, “professional” and “fun.”

On the wall outside their office space in the break room, which doubles as the lobby, is a cork board featuring glowing remarks from dozens of Larson Ed alumni. “You were the best, hands down!! Thank you all so much. I am so thankful I picked your school. I was very impressed that I called after hours and you called me back even when you were closed,” acclaimed Andrew Darda who took his Sales Associate Licensing course at their Fort Myers classrooms.

The clean, comfortable facilities have a homey feel, which makes sense because they were decorated and furnished by Brad and Dave’s mother Rose. Since students may spend up to eight hours per day in the classrooms, Rose made sure the chairs are very comfortable with extra padding and arm rests. “These chairs are made for sitting, not stacking,” says Rose.

As the winds of the home economic climate swirled downward, Larson Ed served as a beacon in the dark. Why enter the real estate business and take classes at such a low point? Brad says because “people want to be prepared for when the market turns around. They have an eye for the future.” Which would make now the prime time to enter the business.

Larson Ed’s most popular course is their 63-hour Sales Associate Licensing course with a tuition of only $299. “Not only is our tuition reasonable,” says Director of Operations David, “but our classes are interactive and motivating. We work with the customer and do what’s most flexible for them.” General Manager Brad says, “We have created an environment here that makes our students feel comfortable. All the way from our clean facilities to our free coffee, everything is catered to the student.”

I’ll say. One of their first students, Stan Poole, felt so comfortable at Larson Ed that he became one of eight instructors, and a good one at that. Not only can I vouch from personal experience (I was a student at Larson Ed) but his student satisfaction numbers are great (based on ratings from 1 to 5 on instructor effectiveness, he and his instructor team average a stunning 4.87).

Here in Southwest Florida it has become clear that the number one choice is Larson Educational Services for real estate, mortgage broker, and CAM education. Their family feel goes a long way toward making the students welcome and comfortable. The prices are tough to beat and the instruction is outstanding. The Larsons have put together an incredible family-oriented company that will be serving students in Southwest Florida for years to come.

This just in…Larson Educational Services is having great success online!

I just wanted to say a big “Thank You” to Charlie Caldwell at Internet Services Group of Florida for helping me out with our online marketing presence and continuing to take time to discuss ways Larson Educational Services can go after new students online.

The online marketing team at Larson has been working day and night, following the directions and guidelines given to them by Charlie for his “recipe for success”, and it has sure paid off.

LarsonEd.com is routinely seeing DOUBLE the number of daily visitors compared to just two months ago, and that has lead to more phone calls and more registrations. In fact, we currently have our largest real estate class, with 50% more students than any previous class we have held.

Charlie recently wrote about How a Fort Myers Real Estate School Took Over Google!, which, if you’re paying attention, is referring to us, Larson Educational Services. Check it out and if you’re interested in learning more about how Charlie can help you succeed on the Internet, call him directly at (239) 822-2314, contact him online, or visit his Web Marketing Services information online.

Our Real Estate Class Schedule has EXPLODED! New classes in Fort Myers and Naples.

There is definitely a buzz going on right now with people interested in getting into real estate. Our phones are ringing and we’re driving a lot of traffic to our website. Due to the increase in demand, we have added 6 NEW real estate license classes. We added 4 in our Fort Myers location and 2 in Naples.

Now we have a full selection of Weekday, Evening and Weekend courses to choose from. As always, our students can mix-and-match not only the class type, but also the class location to fit their schedule. This allows for maximum flexibility for our students.

Something else I’d like to add is that we have extended our discount of $20 Off in Fort Myers and $50 Off in Naples all the way to April 26, 2009. I’d advise people to take advantage of this offer by enrolling now. Our upcoming class start dates are April 18 Weekends in Naples, April 25 Weekends in Fort Myers, and we have two Fort Myers classes starting on April 27 (a Weekday and an Evening).

That’s all for now. Give me a call if you have any questions.

Ok, I just learned how to put a video into Youtube, only about 4 years behind the curve, but that’s ok because I never had a video to put up until now. Charly Caldwell at Internet Services Group www.isgfl.com/ has been helping me out a whole lot with our internet marketing and SEO (Search Enging Optimization). He was watching Wink News the other evening, March 16, when he saw the teaser at the beginning that flashed our Logo. He immediately jumped to action and got his video recorder turned on so that he could “tape it” for me (my words, not his).

I know I posted a link to the Wink News website with the video yesterday, but this is significantly better this way….for many reasons that I’m not going to get into right now….mostly because I don’t understand it, I just do what I’m told.

So here’s the video on Youtube. See my post from yesterday for an explanation of why Larson Educational Services was interviewed by Wink. Learn more About Us.

Larson Educational Services is interviewed by Wink News Channel 6

Well, I’m back for more. This is my second blog posting and I bring good news.

Larson Educational Services, my family-owned real estate education provider with classes in Fort Myers and Naples, was interviewed by Wink News reporter, Jeremiah Jacobsen, as the number of people looking to real estate as a career increases.

With the current state of the economy, many people are returning to real estate as a career opportunity. In around 30 days, an individual can obtain their Florida real estate license and be active in the business of real estate transactions. Larson Educational Services offers the real estate licensing class in two locations.

Our permanent office and classrooms are in Fort Myers and we also have a satelite classroom at the Naples Area Board of Realtors facility in Naples. To view the March 16 video of the Wink News Channel 6 report, please click the following link – “Turning to a career in real estate” – http://www.winknews.com/news/local/41351887.html

Jeremiah even interviewed a couple of our current students, Mary Gano and Roy Hyman. We’ve already heard a lot of buzz due to this report and hopefully it continues to progress.

Tonight, March 18 from 6:30pm-7:30pm, we have our monthly “Real Estate Career Night”. Check out the details at http://www.LarsonEd.com.

Hopefully I am able to stay up to date with this blog and continue to add new and relevant postings.

My First Post

I’m going to keep this nice and simple since this is my first blog, but I really want to further promote my new business and this seems like a pretty good way to do that so here goes:

If you’ve ever done time in a dark, cramped, dirty classroom, you owe it to yourself to inspect the family-owned Larson Educational Services facilities. You will find that they are specifically designed for comfortable, effective, professional education. The facilities are shining examples of what classrooms should be: modern, comfortable, and well-lit, with good sight lines and AV equipment that actually works.

What’s more, Larson prides itself on paying special attention to the little amenities that make education more enjoyable. Things like comfortable chairs and large tables with plenty of room to spread out course materials, and free bottomless cups of coffee, tea and water.

Larson Educational Services LarsonEd.com is a Florida real estate school offering entry-level and continuing education courses for real estate sales associates, real estate brokers, mortgage brokers and community association managers in the Fort Myers and Naples markets.

We offer flexible scheduling with daytime, evening and weekend schedules. You can even mix and match the course times to fit around your needs.

The office and state-of-the-art classrooms are located at the base of the Midpoint Bridge in Fort Myers at 1400 Colonial Blvd, Suite 44, and are easily accessible to the Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Naples area real estate markets. For class information go to LarsonEd.com. March classes are available.

More to come later!!
